Aluminum Fence Installation in the Bay Area
Aluminum fencing combines modern aesthetics with lasting durability. Whether you want clean horizontal lines for a contemporary look or classic vertical pickets for traditional appeal, aluminum delivers a low-maintenance fence that won’t rust, warp, or require repainting.
Aluminum fencing is a metal fence system made from aluminum alloy posts, rails, and pickets or panels. The material naturally resists corrosion, making it ideal for the Bay Area’s coastal fog and moisture conditions.
At Duce Construction, we install custom aluminum fencing throughout the Bay Area. Our in-house fabrication capabilities mean we can create fences and gates that match your exact vision, not just what comes off a shelf.
Horizontal and Vertical Aluminum Fencing
Unlike many contractors who only offer one style, we install both horizontal and vertical aluminum fencing. Your choice depends on your home’s architecture and the look you’re going for.
Horizontal Aluminum Fencing
Horizontal boards create a modern, architectural aesthetic that pairs well with contemporary homes. The clean lines draw the eye along your property and can make spaces feel larger. Horizontal aluminum is especially popular for:
- Modern and mid-century homes
- Front yard accent fencing
- Pool surrounds with a resort-style feel
- Commercial properties seeking a sleek look
Vertical Aluminum Fencing
Vertical picket fencing offers a timeless look with practical benefits. The upright design provides security without blocking sightlines, making it ideal for:
- Front yards where visibility matters
- Pool enclosures meeting code requirements
- Property line definition
- Traditional and transitional home styles
We also create combination designs that blend horizontal and vertical elements for a custom look.

Why Choose Aluminum Fencing?
Aluminum stands apart from wood, vinyl, and wrought iron for several reasons.
Zero Rust, Zero Rot
Aluminum is naturally corrosion-resistant. Unlike iron or steel fencing that can rust through protective coatings, aluminum contains no iron and therefore cannot rust. The Bay Area’s coastal fog and frequent moisture have no effect on aluminum’s structural integrity, even after decades of exposure. And unlike wood, there’s no risk of rot, warping, or termite damage.
Minimal Maintenance
Once installed, aluminum fencing needs only occasional cleaning. No annual staining, no rust treatment, no replacing rotted boards. A hose-down once or twice a year keeps it looking fresh.
Design Flexibility
Aluminum takes powder coating beautifully, which means you’re not limited to metallic finishes. Wood-grain textures, matte black, bronze, white, and custom colors are all possible. The material is also easy to fabricate into custom shapes, curves, and specialty designs.
Strength Without Weight
Aluminum is lighter than steel or iron but still provides substantial security. A typical aluminum fence panel weighs 40-60% less than an equivalent steel panel while providing comparable security.
Fire-Safe Aluminum Fencing
For properties in wildfire-prone areas, we build custom noncombustible aluminum fencing and gates. Aluminum does not ignite and does not carry fire, which matters most where a fence meets the house. What applies to your property depends on your fire hazard designation, your local fire agency, your building department, and your insurer, and we can walk the property with you.
Finish and Color Options
Modern powder coating technology gives aluminum fencing remarkable finish options.
Solid Colors – Classic choices include black, white, bronze, and earth tones. Powder coating provides a durable finish that resists chipping, fading, and peeling far longer than paint.
Wood-Grain Finishes – For homeowners who love the warmth of wood but want aluminum’s durability, wood-grain powder coating creates a convincing wood appearance.
Metallic and Custom Finishes – From brushed aluminum to aged bronze effects, specialty finishes let you match existing fixtures or create a signature look.
Applications for Aluminum Fencing
Pool Fencing – Aluminum is one of the most popular choices for pool enclosures. It meets safety code requirements while maintaining visibility, won’t rust from pool chemicals, and looks clean for years.
Front Yard Fencing – Low aluminum fencing defines property lines without blocking curb appeal. Taller panels with horizontal slats create a modern street presence.
Privacy Fencing – Solid-panel aluminum and closely spaced horizontal boards can provide substantial privacy.
Property Line Fencing – Aluminum marks boundaries clearly while letting light through.
Commercial Applications – Businesses choose aluminum for its professional appearance and minimal upkeep.
